DataProtection Notice and Policy – BorderBox 2019
The purpose of this policy is to set out how Borderbox meets the
requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) May
2018 and the Data Protection Act in pursuance of its activities to
provide Melodeon Workshops.

What data does Borderbox hold?
It holds limited personal data about those persons who have given
their email address in both electronic and paper formats. This
consists of the information which you provide to Borderbox: name,
email address, contact phone number(s), plus the information given on

Compiling lists of those persons who have booked a place on a workshop day or have expressed an interest in being told about forthcoming workshop
Communicating with you to arrange participation at workshop day/s and sending the relevant details to you.

How do I hold this data?
This data is held both electronically and in hard copy form. I have
contact details on the laptop and hard copy files held by Peter
Morris. The same information is held by Rees Wesson for the purpose
of sending additional details such as tunes to participants of each
When is the data deleted?
All data is deleted from the electronic records and removed and
destroyed from the hard copy files if requested by you and at the
closure of Borderbox as an entity.
You have the right to:
be informed of the data I hold about you, access to
the information I hold about you, if you require access please do so
in writing and I shall reply as soon as possible but within 1 month
have incorrect information changed to be correct
the information being erased.

If the data I hold is lost, stolen or in any way taken from my
records without your and /or my consent I will inform you and the
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if relevant.

Please ensure that you tell me if your contact details change so that
my records are accurate and up to date.
Clients under 16 years old.
If a person wishing to attend a Borderbox event is under 16 years old
I shall obtain consent to hold the information set out above from the
person who has parental responsibility for that client.
